About the company:
Comeco is a family-owned business and part of the Belgian Pork Group, a network of eight sites in Belgium focused on producing high-quality pork. The group processes approximately 420,000 tons of pork annually, a significant portion of which is exported to more than 50 countries worldwide.
The Comeco site, located in Meer (Hoogstraten), employs around 100 people, mainly blue-collar workers. Approximately 13,000 pigs are slaughtered and processed here weekly, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and craftsmanship.
Your responsibilities:
- You are responsible for cutting red organs and ensuring careful handling of our products
- You are flexibly deployable to the packaging department when needed
- You maintain a steady pace on the slaughter line
- You work as part of a team and support colleagues where necessary
What we expect:
- You are motivated, enthusiastic, and stress-resistant
- Preferably, you have initial experience in meat cutting, a slaughterhouse, or a butcher’s shop
- Junior candidates are also welcome — we can train you if you are interested in this type of work
- You work accurately and hygienically
- You show motivation and commitment
- You can communicate preferably in Dutch or English
- Working in cold temperatures does not deter you
- Daily start time is from 6:00 AM (end time depends on the number of slaughters per day)
